September Word of the Month: Harvest

Lifestyle

Enjoying abundance while preparing for transition.

September feels like a turning point.

Summer is still here, but you can feel the season beginning to shift. The mornings are a little cooler, the evenings arrive a little earlier, and the garden is giving us the reward of everything that was planted months ago.

It’s harvest season.

And this month, my word is Harvest.

After spending the spring planting, blooming, nourishing, celebrating, and cultivating abundance, September is about pausing long enough to enjoy what has grown.

It’s about gathering what I’ve worked for, appreciating how far I’ve come, and preparing for what’s next.

Enjoying What I’ve Grown

Harvest is a reminder that not every season is about starting something new.

Sometimes, it’s about looking around and realizing just how much has already grown.

The vegetables in the garden.

The habits I’ve built.

The routines that now feel natural.

The home I’ve created.

The relationships I’ve nurtured.

The confidence I’ve gained.

The little pieces of my life that, when put together, look a lot like the life I’ve been dreaming about.

I don’t want to rush past those things just because I’m already thinking about what’s next.

I want to enjoy the harvest.

Preparing for a New Season

But harvest also means transition.

The garden won’t stay full forever. Summer will eventually give way to fall, and fall will eventually become winter.

And that’s okay.

Change doesn’t mean something is wrong.

It simply means we’re entering a new season.

This month, I want to prepare for that transition without rushing through it. To begin cozying up my home, preserving what I can from the garden, simplifying my routines, and making space for the slower months ahead.

There’s something beautiful about preparing for what’s next while still appreciating where you are.

My September Intentions

This month, I’m choosing to:

✨ Enjoy the abundance I’ve worked so hard to create
✨ Harvest and preserve what my garden has given me
✨ Reflect on how much I’ve grown this year
✨ Celebrate the small wins that are easy to overlook
✨ Begin preparing my home and routines for fall
✨ Let go of what no longer needs to come with me into the next season
✨ Slow down enough to actually enjoy the transition

The Heart of September

Harvest reminds me that growth has seasons.

There is a time to plant.

A time to grow.

A time to bloom.

And eventually, a time to gather what you’ve cultivated and appreciate it.

I don’t want to spend so much time planning my next chapter that I forget to enjoy the one I’m currently living.

So this September, I’m gathering the good.

The lessons.

The memories.

The habits.

The abundance.

The growth.

And I’m carrying only what I need into the next season.

Because sometimes the most intentional thing we can do isn’t to keep reaching for more.

Sometimes it’s to pause, look around, and realize—

I’ve grown more than I thought I had.

Here’s to harvesting the good, savoring this season, and gently preparing for whatever comes next. 🍂🌾🤍
