November has a way of making you want to come home.
The air gets colder. The days get shorter. The kitchen becomes the warmest room in the house, and suddenly, gathering around the table feels more important than anything else.
After the magic and excitement of October, November feels like an exhale.
A slower month.
A softer month.
A month to gather.
My word for November is Gather, gathering people, gathering gratitude, gathering memories, and gathering close to the things that matter most.
There is something special about sharing a meal with people you love.
It doesn’t have to be fancy.
Sometimes it’s a homemade dinner on a regular Tuesday night. Sometimes it’s a holiday meal surrounded by family. Sometimes it’s coffee at the kitchen table that turns into hours of conversation.
The food is wonderful, but it’s rarely what we remember most.
We remember who was there.
The stories.
The laughter.
The little traditions.
The feeling of being home.
This month, I want to create more of those moments.
November naturally makes me think about gratitude, but I don’t want gratitude to be something I only practice because Thanksgiving is approaching.
I want to notice it every day.
The warm cup of coffee in the morning.
A stocked kitchen.
A home I love.
Fresh food.
A cozy evening.
People who show up for me.
The ability to create, learn, explore, and dream.
The ordinary things that are so easy to overlook are often the things that make life feel abundant.
There is always something to be grateful for when we slow down enough to notice.
November is also a reminder that every season has its purpose.
The garden is winding down.
The leaves have fallen.
The world is becoming quieter.
And instead of fighting that transition, I want to embrace it.
This is the season for cozy mornings, warm meals, baking, blankets, candles, early sunsets, and evenings spent at home.
It’s okay to slow down.
It’s okay to do less.
It’s okay to let life become a little quieter.
There is beauty in every season, even the ones that ask us to rest.
This month, I’m choosing to:
🤎 Gather around the table with people I love
🍂 Gather gratitude in the everyday moments
🥧 Gather in the kitchen and make food from scratch
🕯️ Create a cozy, welcoming home
📷 Gather memories worth remembering
🍁 Embrace the slower pace of the season
✨ Make time for the traditions that make this time of year special
🤍 Spend less time rushing and more time being present
Gathering isn’t just about having people over.
It’s about gathering the pieces of life that make you feel whole.
The people.
The memories.
The traditions.
The gratitude.
The little moments.
The things that make home feel like home.
As the year begins to wind down, I want to resist the urge to rush toward what’s next.
Instead, I want to pause.
Look around.
Appreciate what this year has brought me.
And gather it all close.
Because maybe the greatest abundance isn’t having more.
Maybe it’s realizing how much we already have.
So this November, I’m gathering close to the people I love, filling my home with warmth, slowing down enough to notice the beauty around me, and choosing gratitude for this life I’m so intentionally creating.
Here’s to full tables, warm kitchens, grateful hearts, and a season spent close to home.
This month, I’m choosing to gather. 🤎🍂
