March Word of the Month: Strength

Health + Fitness, Lifestyle

March, for me, is about strength, not just the kind you build in the gym, but the kind you build in your mind, your habits, your routines, and your daily choices.

This month isn’t about perfection. It’s about showing up. It’s about choosing to challenge myself mentally and physically in ways that feel sustainable, life-giving, and rooted in intention.

Strength looks different now than it used to.
It’s quieter.
It’s slower.
It’s more intentional.
And it’s deeply connected to how I care for myself, inside and out.

Physical Strength: Building a Stronger Body

This month, I’m focusing on challenging my body with purpose, not punishment.

My physical goals for March:

  • Consistent gym workouts
  • Daily walking
  • Hitting 10,000 steps a day
  • Moving my body in ways that feel good, not forced
  • Building strength, endurance, and confidence

Strength for me means listening to my body, honoring rest, and trusting that consistency always beats intensity. Some days will be heavy lifts. Some days will be long walks. Some days will be stretching and slow movement, and all of it counts.

Nutritional Strength: Nourishing From the Inside Out

This month, I’m committing to strength through nourishment.

My focus:

  • Planning all meals ahead of time
  • Eating only from-scratch, home-cooked meals
  • Reducing chemicals and processed foods
  • Prioritizing anti-inflammatory, whole foods
  • Choosing simple, clean ingredients
  • Cooking intentionally and seasonally

Food isn’t just fuel, it’s medicine, care, and ritual.
Cooking at home is an act of love.
Planning meals is an act of discipline.
Nourishing my body is an act of strength.

This isn’t restriction, it’s alignment.

Mental Strength: Slowing Down and Showing Up

Mental strength for me this month looks like:

  • Taking life slow
  • Letting go of urgency
  • Enjoying moments as they come
  • Taking things in strides instead of spirals
  • Choosing peace over pressure
  • Progress over perfection

Not everything needs to be rushed.
Not everything needs to be fixed.
Not everything needs to be forced.

Sometimes strength is knowing when to push, and sometimes it’s knowing when to pause.

My March Strength Intentions

This month, strength means:

✨ Challenging myself physically
✨ Showing discipline in my habits
✨ Being consistent, not extreme
✨ Choosing nourishing foods
✨ Moving my body daily
✨ Training my mind to be calmer
✨ Creating routines that support my life
✨ Enjoying the process, not just the outcome
✨ Becoming better, gently, steadily, intentionally

The Heart of This Month

Strength isn’t loud.
It isn’t chaotic.
It isn’t all-or-nothing.

It’s quiet consistency.
It’s daily commitment.
It’s choosing better even when it’s harder.
It’s building a life that supports who I’m becoming.

This March, I’m choosing strength:
in my body,
in my mind,
in my habits,
in my home,
and in the life I’m intentionally creating.

Not rushed.
Not forced.
Not perfect.

Just strong. 🤍
